He was a deeply compassionate, principled and honourable man with a sense of humour. I am proud to have two of his paintings on my wall and will remember him and Dione with affection

Our sincere sympathy to Patricia, Bill, Bridget and Clare and your families on the death of your father. He has been a colleague and friend for sixty years. We miss our annual meetings with him and your dear mother in the Arboretum in the seed buying season. He was a great help in vacant parishes during my early days as archdeacon. May he now enjoy his eternal reward.
We regret that we will not be able to attend his funeral on Friday but we will be thinking of you.
