Sincere condolences to the family and friends of Fr. Kevin, who had the gift of long life and what an extraordinary contribution he made to the lives of the communities he served. Fr. Kevin led by example, personifying the message of Jesus

He had many interests including his beloved photography and was also a wonderful raconteur, delivered with an inimitable sense of humour.

We mourn the passing of our cousin Fr.. Kevin - our Tipperary grandmothers were sisters .
Childhood memories of a holiday he spent with us, family weddings he celebrated and occasional lunches in Ballymore Eustace interrupted by COVID 19. Peace to his soul and sincere sympathy to his nieces and nephews.

May eternal rest shine upon him. He was such a lovely person. I remember how he took his time at my children's christenings, to explain the significance of everything in the ceremony. Often met him with his camera, down around the lake - he took such beautiful photographs. He also loved his tulips, blooming majestically along his driveway! His spirit will be forever in the air around his beloved Crosschapel! Rest in peace Fr. Kevin.

Many lovely memories of Fr Kevin including his visits to the Blessington Country Market every Saturday. May the Light of Heaven shine on him. Ar Dheis De go raibh a anam dilis.

A Saint gone home.

I extend my sympathy to all of Father Kevin's relatives and his dear friends on his passing. Our paths would have first crossed about 45-years ago when he came to our house in Newbridge at the time with the Davidstown church accounts for auditing. His interests and friendships were of course wide ranging. On the day we celebrated my late mother post-funeral bash, there was Father Kevin being dined out in another part of the emporium in the company of Catherine and Clare or it might have been Laura of the then Grangecon Cafe. What else would these beautiful ladies get up to on their day off but entertain their great friend? The esteem that he was held in was warmly exemplified recently in Mary Brennan's letter to the Editor of the Wicklow People and how lovely it was to have that said during his lifetime! May Father Kevin rest in peace.

With all his many talents he truly enriched the lives of all of us who were so lucky to have had him as our priest He was a wonderful priest who shared his knowledge, wisdom, faith, hope and love with us.

So sad to hear of Fr. Lyon’s passing. We knew him very well in Donard and worked with him through many Deer Fairs and Christmas Fairs. He will be sadly missed. Condolences to all his family members, friends and parishioners. May Fr. Kevin rest in peace

As we celebrate the life of Fr. Kevin it is a testament to the man he was reading the lovely messages of sympathy from his fellow priests, parishioners, freinds and family. Kevin was more intetested in other people's lives than his own, he was humble, intelligent, had a great sense of humour and a deep sense of servitude to his beliefs. His book of Psalms was a window to his soul. His love for photography, animals and nature showed how connected he was to his faith. He deserves his peace and a place above after a lifetime of service to the church and community. May he eternally rest in peace.

So Sorry to see of the passing of Fr Kevin.
He was such a lovely person.
He was very helpful to our Graveyard committee in Macreddin some years ago, giving us photo's of the St Bridget's Church while it was still intact.
He also donated the present Bell as a replacement for the original one.
