Sincere sympathy to the extended McCarty family and friends of Therese on her sad passing. I worked with Therese in the training centre in Lower Mount Street in the 80's and 90's and she was always in good humour with a smile for everyone. She was a proud Cork women and Cork footballers and hurlers were going well at that time which she really enjoyed. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.

Very sorry to hear about Theresa McCarthys death. I worked with her in the ESB for many years and we were great friends. She was extremely competent & always wore the height of fashion. She always rang me to make sure I wouldn’t forget the pensioners dinner and when that stopped we met up ourselves to keep the tradition going. I will miss her greatly. May she rest in peace.

Sincere sympathy to all of Therese’s family. I recall her infinite patience very many years ago when I-already a “mature” student-struggled with my keyboard skills. It was a mark of her great talent as a teacher that I emerged from her class reasonably proficient and confident. In subsequent years it was always a real pleasure to meet her and appreciate her style, her enthusiasm for life- and her wonderful Cork accent.
