I was upset to hear about Thomas's passing, I met him several times during my time in Castlegregory and I enjoyed his company and wit over a pint of Guinness or coffee!

One of my earliest memories is Oliver calling to our house in London, to introduce his girlfriend Mary.
Then we moved home and I swear that you and James could smell when Moll was taking scones from the oven!!!
You gave me my first job and between you and your mother taught me a trade I loved. You also taught me about true friendship.
I will miss you with all my heart, and Camp will never be the same. God bless, sleep well. Your friend forever.

I was very sad to hear of the passing of Thomas. I was fortunate to see him a few times during my trip to Camp at the end of October. We had great chats about his travels, my parents, and me being christened in Ashes 40 years ago! He was always so welcoming and a great conversationalist. He will be sorely missed. We are very sad to hear of the untimely death of Thomas Ashe. Our family attended Camp National school in the mid to late 1960’s and have very fond memories of him. Thomas had a great personality and there was always a great atmosphere in Ashes pub. There was a welcome for all and wonderful music sessions beside the fire. He will be sadly missed by one and all.
