My condolences to the Bredin Family on the passing of Tom, or more correctly “Me Bredin” as we fondly called him back in St. Claire’s. It’s been a lifetime since I was a student there but I still have the fondest of memories of Tom. And many of them. Tom Bredin was a special man, a special educator and person. I remember vividly how he met me hobbling down the corridor one afternoon just before end of day and insisted I should go to the hospital and have my ankle checked. He brought me there and stayed until my broken ankle was put in a cast and then took me home all the while chatting away and keeping me comfortable. RIP Mr. Bredin.

I had such deep respect and fondness for Mr. Bredin at school. Likewise, he showed the same regard for the young adults in his care and in his classroom. He was ever-present and there to support all who needed him with unwaivering patience for all learners and often a twinkle in his eye.

I'm sincerely sorry for your great loss.

I am very sorry indeed to read of Tom’s death. The characterisation that comes to mind, when I recall Tom from my days at St Clare’s, is that of a reassuring presence. He was always a gentleman and exhibited a quiet calmness that meant were he ever to raise his voice, you definitely better sit up and take notice!

My sincerest sympathy to Jo, Paula and the rest of the family circle, at this time of loss and parting. Tom leaves a definite lasting legacy in the countless lives he touched and it is without question that his memory will be a blessing to so many.

Sincere sympathy to all Tom's family on his passing.Tom was a big strong man and all the students had a fear of him even do he was kind and encouraging to all students. Tom would even enquire at roll call in room 11 on Tuesday mornings what the Mart was like after a few of us would have pulled a sicky the day before. Showing a bit of interest in the farming side but also given us the dig. I was a student of his back in the 90s

Very sorry to hear this sad news, Mr Bredin was a gentleman, a patience and kind teacher, met you always with a smile. I always enjoyed his classes in particular economics, he made us laugh as we learned and he was a great basketball coach - as life rolls on you remember the people that were good to you and Mr Bredin was certainty one of them that I will always appreciate.
