Im absolutley devastated to hear of the passing of Tom. I worked in paddy power in Oaklawn for 15years and had the most lovely friendship with him over those years. The chats and laughs we had were just amazing. I would always fill him in on what was going on in my life or id get story after story about his life ( he had plenty to tell ) He loved telling stories and randomally taking pictures of himself out of his top pocket in his football days to show us and try make us guess which one was him..he was absolutely mad about himself!! There were days when it wasnt busy so id put on the kettle and make us both a cuppa ( he was the only customer i would do this for and he knew this himself and loved it and thought he was great ) and we'd just chat for ages. I loved his stories & i loved just how kind he was. He honestly would make my day! So thank you Tom for your kindess over the years and being such a good pal to me ( id always say ah heres me aul pal when he walked in ) Your jokes and humour would be the highlight of my day... even if you did laugh at them more yourself than anybody else did! Sending all of Toms family so much love..Leixlip has lost an absolute treasure who will be so missed! He truely was one of a kind.

He was always in good form very knowledgeable especially anything to do with sports, every year he'd say to me this is Kildare's year for Sam.
Tommy was an absolute gentleman, but fortunately for me, I didn't back all the dead cert tips tip's he'd give me in the bookies, I'd be stoned broke if I had.

I loved how encouraging and supportive he was with Tanya and her passion for horses and how much he loved horses himself.
