It is desperately sad that my grandad, a thoughtful man loved by many, would be taken so suddenly.

He embodied the best values of his generation; caring for his family, helping all those around him in need and, always getting by with a smile and a good joke. He will be sorely missed, yet his legacy lives on in all the family, and all those he knew.

So sad to lose a genuine kind, loving and caring family man, who always saw the good in everyone.
He had a great sense of humour and would always have a joke or quip to cheer you up or make you laugh.
Nothing was ever too much hassle and he was always there to help anyone who needed it.
We shared many a time picking out our losing horse bets and I will remember him for his love of cake!!
A perfect Father in law.
He will be sorely missed by all.
