Throughout his career he always endeavoured to promote equality of opportunity fairness & respect.

Saddened today to hear of the death of my first cousin Tom, not just a close family relation but a close friend in our earlier years as well. We were classmates in the De La Salle College in Loughrea. 'We had joy, we had fun,we had seasons in the sun'. We were guests at each others weddings, North and South of the border. My sincere sympathy to his son Tomás in Armagh and and to all the Haverty family in Castleboy, Kilchreest. Wishing him the happiness of Heaven for all time.
