you all. May Tom rest in eternal peace.
Condolences to family and friends

Bumped into Tommy just after the Covid for the first time in more than 30 years. Had a pint and a chat in Toners. Just like old times.
A well respected and very likable friend.
RIP Tommy
My deepest sympathy to Carol and all his family on the very sad passing of Tom. May he rest in peace. X
Deepest condolences to Thomas' family and friends. We are shocked to learn of his passing, he was a fabulously friendly man with whom we shared some wonderful memories of nights and days out in Houricans of Leeson Street and laterly Toners. Rest easy Thomas!
With shock and great sadness, I learned of the sudden passing of Thomas. Great memories of Thomas and his proud uncle and Gowna Club Chairman Philip walking down to the football pitch in Mulrick and joining in training sessions with the Gowna boys. Always a smile, always the opportunity to promote the Dubs in rural Cavan. We are proud to say that Thomas actually got some game time playing for his beloved Gowna in “challenge” games vs local opposition, playing under a different name 😊. My fondest memory of Thomas – he was the one with the expensive Levis jeans & wellington boots covered in Cow shi.. a far cry from his childhood days in Dublin, I am sure.
My sympathies to Auntie Eilis ,Oonagh, Anne, Deirdre, Fiona & Aishling, his son Ethan & partner Carol. May he rest in peace
Deepest condolences to Fiona and family

Thinking of his family and friends at this sad time.
So sorry for your loss Carol and the Hourican Family.
Aishling & family, I'm so sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace.
My sincere and deepest sympathy to the Hourican family, and particularly Aishling. May he rest in peace.
I worked with Tom in Toners. I will always remember the craic and stories over a pint after a shift. He had a great ability to hold an audience. With Tom a pint was often a history/life lesson or a political discussion. His knowledge of everything was impressive, he understood what was important in life and wouldn’t be shy about making clear what wasn’t.

I know everyone in Toners will really miss Tom. My condolences go out to Carol, Susan, Ethan and Tom’s family.

We met in Freckles in NYC and have bumped into one another over the years. Sadly we won’t meet and have a laugh. Rest in peace
Tom, thank you for being such an amazing, loving partner to my best friend, Carol. The bond you guys shared was truly special, like two peas in a pod with the same wicked sense of humour. You made her so happy and it is heartbreaking that your future together has been cut short.

I will remember you as a wonderful, caring, funny, and intelligent person, always ready for a great chat that brightened the day. You will be profoundly missed by all who knew you.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Carol, Ethan, Susan, and all of your family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.

My deepest condolences to Carol and to Tom’s family. Toners will never be the same without Tom. Him and Carol’s wit and humour always made shifts in the yard more enjoyable and they carried the chaos of the busy rugby days on their shoulders. He brought everyone out there together in a very unique and valuable way and I always admired him for that. I hope he knew that. May he rest in peace.
My deepest condolences to all of the Hourican family , friends and colleagues. Many happy memories of the Boars Head. Great times for a great shop run by a true gentleman and son. May both Toms rest in eternal peace.
I met tom 12 years ago when I started working in Toners. Over the years I met Ethan, Susan and other family members who referred to him as Thomas. Toners I've always said is like a family. Over the years I've seen staff come and go, but tom is one that has endured. I've worked downstairs, the main bar, outside, through covid with this man who always had a sense of humour! Many a times he'd cover up to mirror to make sure staff weren't getting distracted. That was him. He'd always say something that would make you laugh or roll you eyes. The past 2 days have been so sollum and surreal without seeing him working. My heart goes out to all of yous, especially Carol, Ethan and Susan at this time. He's a huge loss and the impact he's left on the staff old and current means he will live on and always remembered.
Our deep sympathy to Oonagh, Anne, Deirdre, Fiona and Aishling and to Ethan and Carol and all the family on the death of your beloved Thomas. He was a lovely fellow, friendly and warm and always a pleasure to meet.
May he rest in peace.

Dublin will be a different place without Tommy.

Knowing him all the way back to when he lay in the sun on summer days as a teenager in St Annes park, right up to last week when we chatted and laughed on Baggot St, I can’t describe how sad I am.

Tommy was extremely intelligent and his ability to share his observations on life was quite unique. He was interested and interesting all in one. Last week, we caught up on the latest news in our lives and as usual, he was warm, clever and witty all in one.

To Ethan, Carol , Susan, Tommy’s sisters and family, the gang in Toners and all on Baggot St, sending you sincere condolences. He will be sorely missed.

Louise

Sincere condolences to Deirdre and all of Thomas’s family & friends. So very sorry for your sad loss.
I’ve been shocked and profoundly saddened to hear about Tommy’s sudden and untimely death. It’s been a while since our paths have crossed but we were old friends. So many memories. Like watching Live Aid as it happened, together with another friend Rod, on Tommy’s telly in Queens. Tommy helped both of us a lot that summer in New York, that’s the sort of person he was, if he could help you he would. My deepest condolences to all of his loved ones. RIP Tommy.
Sending love & strength to Carol Ethan & the Hourican family at this heartbreaking and very difficult time.

I met Tommy a few months back after many years and we shared a few drinks with lots of reminiscing & belly laughs. Never changed,
same warmth, kindness & that fabulous disarming smile.

Sleep soundly Tommy. You rocked the Singout !!
Deeply sorry to hear of Tommy’s untimely passing, sincere condolences to all the Hourican family.
