I am so sorry and shocked to hear of toms passing. He always delivered my shopping in swords when i shopped with supervalu. Always brought the shopping in and always kicked a ball with my son. The world will be a sad place without this very happy go lucky man.

Tom and I send our deepest condolences to all of the Hughes family and especially to Thomas's partner Trish. I will always remember him growing up on our street as one of the kindest people, always willing to help and chat any time. May he rest in peace as he is re united with his mam and dad and brothers.

My deepest condolences to Tom’s partner and all his family & friends. Tom has been delivering my shopping for many years and I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. We always had a good chat, difference of opinions and a good laugh putting the world to rights. His love of dogs showed his kind hearted good nature. He will be sorely missed.

Very sorry to hear of Tom’s passing - he was a great character with a gentle nature and was always very genuine in his dealings with people. He always went the extra mile and would do whatever he could to look after his customers and not let them down. Only recently he stopped on the side of the road to offer me a lift. RIP to one of life’s good guys.

Shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Tom’s passing. Deepest sympathies to all of Tom’s Family at this extremely sad time.

Tom has been delivering to us for many years, it was always a pleasure to see him as we always had a great chat and a good laugh. Our kids always loved to see him and great excitement when the SV van drove in. I will always remember one day when Tom went above and beyond his duties. When he was delivering in the area; he noticed a bedroom window was wide open in our house; he came in and knocked on the door as he thought it was unusual and when there was no answer, he called me. Such thoughtfulness and care are rare to find, and it’s a testament to the kind of person Tom was.

We will miss Tom calling; our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time. May you find comfort in the memories you shared with him.

Dear Thomas, the first of our close gang to go.
We lived in directly facing houses and knew each other all our lives. We played and fought as children and teens, drifted apart a bit in our young adult days, but always remained friends.
After I moved away, I regularly heard from my sister: "Thomas was over asking for you."
In recent times, we saw each other only every other year or so, but it was always as if we had never parted.
Another gentleman has left Kildonan Avenue and will be sadly missed.

He was always full of chat and jokes and ideas and always chatting about his partner and family including extended family who visited him often. May he rest in peace.

Absolutely shocked to hear about Toms passing...only recently talking to him....always laughing and joking....my dog would always be sitting inside on the window ledge of my house as the SuperValu delivery arrived....Tom would talk to the dog from outside....Going to be missed so much by anybody who were lucky enough to meet him.....God rest his soul.

For over 10yrs Tom has been delivering to us and we were all so fond of him. He had a glint and whether telling a joke, a story or having a rant, it was always in good humour.
