It was quite a shock to hear last night that Jim had died.

Forty years of wonderful memories of great times with Jim, he was a true gentleman.
It’s sad to think that we will never hear his beautiful singing voice again, still hear him singing Avondale.

I encountered him many times during my FCA service and always found him to be the epitome of a good officer and leader. He was conscientious, committed, showed concern for the welfare and training of his troops. I was privileged to have known him as a brother officer.
