My condolences to Tom's family. What a lovely man he was. He was at my bowling county final this year in Castletownkenneigh and I had a lovely chat with him afterwards. Fond memories of a gentleman.

So sorry to hear of Tom's untimely death. He was a great character and friend and will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. I first met Tom when visiting my daughter Aileen in Chelmsford. She worked for Tom while in college there. Tom was a total gentleman. Many a great night we had in Tom's pub. Tom was very welcoming and we met a great community of people there. It was great to see Tom again, in his usual good spirits, on his most recent visit to Chelmsford in July.

Tom was a member of Dúchas Clonakilty for a number of years and attended many of our lectures and fieldtrips, the most recent being our trip to Newgrange and the Boyne valley, where he was entertaining company as always. We are very saddened to hear of his sudden death. Condolences too to his good friend John O’Brien who accompanied him on our trips. May Tom rest in peace.
