Tom Mac was one of those people that could relate to lads 30 or 40 years younger than him as easily as to his contemporaries. He had that common touch that was honed by his many years as a successful publican. I remember him fondly from my time in Brighton in the 80s and 90s. He would always leave you in better form for having met him. I offer my sincere condolences to Margaret and all of the McNally family on Tom’s passing. Rest in peace Mac. You were one of the good ones. May heaven be your bed.
