Still immensely sad and shocked to be writing this condolence. A kind, funny and thoughtful soul who lived life to its absolute fullest. Every day was a concert, a horse race, or making plans for the next big event.

The world will be a little less bright without you Tom. Rest in Peace dear friend, it was a pleasure.
Very shocked to hear of Tom's passing. Worked with Tom in Botany weaving mills late 80s. Such a joy to chat with, a true gentleman. God bless you Tom
So very sad and shocked to hear of the sudden passing of my old school pal and neighbour Thomas. We were good pals since junior school right up to leaving certificate. He was an absolute gent, loved a good laugh and, was a kind and good friend. We both joined the department of justice as trainees in 1980’s he made it his career and I see from the comments he was loved and respected greatly . God bless, Thom I’ll always remember you.
Sincere condolences to Tom's family and all who knew him on his passing. Like many who have added condolences , I had never met Tom in person but felt I knew him well from listening to his witty and informative weather and racing updates each morning . Thank you Tom for brightening my mornings : You will be missed and fondly remembered by all the Rising Time listeners. Codladh sámh.
Condolonces to all Tom's family. I looked forward every morning to his lowdown and will miss his horse racing updates.
So sorry to hear about Tom’s passing. He really was one of the good ones. Always with a big smile so you could spot him a mile away. I’ll always remember him dressing up as Santa at the kids’ Christmas parties — he made it look effortless and the kids loved him for it.

Hope every bet is a winner for him up there. Thinking of you all.
Condolences to Tom’s family, often heard his early morning racing and weather report, rest in peace
My heartfelt condolences to Thomas (Tom's) family on the passing of a beautiful person who kept us up to date with all his comings and goings, and what about his love for the horses especially in Leporadstown and Laytown on a summers evening! Before I travelled into work each morning I used to love to hear about his previous day outings! I hope that he's flying with the Angels in Heaven and telling everyone about the horses! Rest in Peace Tom - you'll certainly be missed by Shay and all the Rising Time Family xxxx
As I struggled my way hastily through the early morning farm chores in the dark mornings before heading to work Tom’s news and racing updates were like clockwork arriving like a warm comfort blanket on Shay Byrne’s excellent programme. I often admired this man for his championing and support of my sport. I hope they will name a race after him in Leopardstown at Xmas, he fully deserves it. Rest in peace.
I’m so very sad to hear this news this morning. I never met Tom but he felt like part of a team sharing the early mornings, catching the proverbial worm. His contributions were witty, informative and gave an insight into a person I felt we got to know. I hope we get to meet on the early morning train in the sky and that he will have checked out the racecourses and music venues for all his friends on the Rising Time bus.
Rest in peace Tom.
