What a wonderful man and a great character right out of the Lucan book of legends. I remember when he managed a very young Lucan United side in the 60s. Every second Saturday we would get the bus from the village to play games in Ballyer or the Phoenix Park, but first a few of us had the task of dragging Toddy from his barstool in O'Neills. The laughs we had with Toddy will never be forgotten. He had the rare gift of connecting with both young and old and he treated everybody the same. We loved him like a dad and I know Fintan, Jackie and Paddy won't mind me saying that. Deepest sympathy to Betty and the rest of a very wonderful family. May he rest in peace.
Sadly another dodsboro legend has passed away. One of the nicest people u could ever meet. Rip toddy. gone but never forgotten. My taughts are with u all at this sad time.

Last evening I learnt of the passing of Toddy Dunne, a gentleman and a lovely family. A Lucan man to the core, and will be sorely missed. Sympathies to Betty, Pat, Jackie & Fintan. May Toddy now enjoy his eternal reward with the Author of Life itself.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this sad time.
I wish to convey my condolences on the passing of Mr. Dunne on behalf of The Callan Family formerly 54 Dodsboro. Mr. Dunne was very kind to our Mam Frances before she died. He got her the daily paper and whatever other items she might have needed. He cleaned our her fire grate and lit her fire for her and also filled her coal bucket and made sure she had everything she needed. He often made her a sandwich and took it to her. We've never forgotten his kindness to her. Our heartfelt sympathy to Mrs. Dunne, Patrick, Jacqueline and Fintan. May he rest in peace.
We are deeply saddened to hear that Toddy has passed away. May he rest in peace.
I am away for the next 2 weeks and consequently will not be able to attend funeral mass and offer my personal condolences.
