Thomas (Tom) Brennan

I was so very lucky to have Tom as both my Uncle & Godfather.

I always remember him as upbeat, positive & very knowledgeable.
I have very fond memories of visits to his & Nuala's beautiful house, family Weddings, Christenings & Communions.

Tom had a great rapport with everyone he met. 'You are doing great chef' his motto which I am sure kept many people going & also inspired them to continue & reach for the stars.

He always fondly remembered his time in America. I think it was a pivotal moment & we were very lucky he returned to Ireland (at a time when many did not have that opportunity). Whilst he never forgot his roots with Mayo.

It is with very heavy heart I write this as I can still imagine him walking through his fields or at the Curragh with a copy of the Irish Field nearby.

Saddened to learn of Tom’s passing. Always enjoyed meeting him in and out of the office. A true gentleman and one who will be sorely missed from his colleagues and many friends in building industry. Our sincere condolences to Nuala and the Brennan family.

Visits to the Brennan house were a highlight of my youth. I have nothing but the fondest memories of Tommy. He was a genuine, warm and ever generous person who will be dearly missed. My sincerest condolences to Nuala and family.

Tom Brennan possessed many wonderful attributes. He was the ultimate optimist, a gentleman to his fingertips, witty, funny, caring and always genuinely interested in everyone's story. Every meeting with Tom left you feeling all the better for the time spent with him. He achieved so much in life while inspiring others to do the same.

Tom was such a huge part of my life, especially my childhood. As a kid, we always loved going to visit or him or his family coming to visit us, not least because he always seemed to have something in his pocket (normally an old pound note, and more as we got older) for us when we were leaving.
