Dearest Dave,
Really sorry and saddened to hear about your dad´s death.
We are thinking about you and all your family.
Our most heartfelt condolences.
Condolences to Tom’s extended family.
May he rest in peace.
We were together in Garda HQ in the 1980s.
A true detective in the strictest sense of the word.
His record speaks for itself.
Deepest sympathy to Tom, Maria and David on the death of your father, Tom. I met him for the first time at Earl's funeral in May, 2011 and for the second and last time at Berney's funeral in March of last year. He was a thorough gentleman. I remember him from his appearences on television over many years when he was pointed out to us with pride by our mother, Eithne. Tom bore a very striking resemblance to his cousin, my father, Hugh who died in September 1989.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
