Deepest sympathy to Tom’s family. He was a true gentleman and always a pleasure to talk to. May he rest in peace.
I was privileged to come from the same parish as Tom, he looked out for me when I started my degree . We had many great conversations over the years as he filled me in on what was happening at home. He kept close contact with his roots and knew more about what was going on than me. He was a true gentleman, a decent human being and we were blessed to know him.

Deepest sympathy to all Tom's family and friends. During my three years on the staff of Maynooth College Tom was the soul of kindness and concern for the good name and advancement of the College to which he was such a loyal servant. The light and peace of Heaven to his noble soul.
My deepest sympathy to Tom's family. He was a mainstay of the college community during my decades on the staff there. A lovely person and every-helpful.
My sympathies to Tom's nieces, nephews and extended family. Tom was the quiet man of Maynooth, who kept things ticking over. During my seven years as a seminarian, I never knowingly crossed Tom's radar. However, twelve months after ordination and first year's ministry in England, I stayed overnight in Maynooth, on my way to a co-diocesan's ordination. After breakfast, I was making my way along St. Joseph's Square, heading to my car, when Tom emerged from New House, called me by name and said, "A letter came for you from America during the year. I've kept it for you." He disappeared into New House and returned with the said letter, which he handed to me with a smile. He then headed towards the President's Arch, leaving me stunned and speechless. Yes, Tom the quiet man of Maynooth, who kept things ticking over - even when we were gone from it!. May his name be written in the Book of Life on high.
Deepest sympathy to Tom's family. It was always a pleasure to meet him on the street in Maynooth. RIP
