We were great friends in our Fianna Fail days way back in the 70's before I left Balbriggan. Tom was a pure gentleman and a pleasure to have known.

I got to know Tom in the Skerries Chordbusters and sang with him in a number of quartets. Tom was a very talented tenor and a very important member or the group.
In addition to his musical talent he was a great conversationalist. With such a wonderful unrivalled sense of humour, people gravitated to be in his company.
I had many a pleasant pint and song with Tom and will miss him greatly.

May Toms gentle soul rest in God's peace,such a gentleman always so friendly, thinking of his family at this sad time, RIP Tom..
