Terry I’m so very sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. This was the first time I got to see a photo of Tom he was quite a handsome man I must say. Grief never ends, but it changes. We have been friends since we were boys together, living 3 doors apart in the same street in Dundalk.

A wonderful brother in law and a terrible loss. Loved discussing football with him and loved his sense of humour. When I first brought a shy and nervous Annie to Ireland he was kind friendly and welcoming and helped her settle in the family

We have many happy memories of Tom over the years. I will remember him as someone who loved a joke, or a well timed pun, clapping his hands together in glee at a particularly good one. As a lover of sports, in particular, soccer, tennis, and snooker. A sharp mind, who kept it well honed for years with weekly bridge nights. As someone who entertained us as children with his beloved talking budgies. And, as a devoted Aston Villa fan - I think Villa’s last minute winner against Arsenal today was their special West Midlands tribute to one of their most devoted fans.

We will all miss you, Tom. Rest in peace!
