Along with many great people of times past, we soldiered together with Tom, most especially in the formation of the NARGC Compensation Fund. Through thick and thin we persisted in our beliefs and we won. Many today forget this. And so to Tom's wife and immediate and extended families, I tender my deepest sympathy on hearing the belated news of Tom's passing. May he rest in eternal peace.

It was with a profound sadness and a real sense of loss that the members, volunteers and staff at Cabragh Wetlands learned of the death of founder, long-time Chair and Life President Tom Grace. Tom was a true visionary. He could see what Cabragh Wetlands might become long before it was widely understood - an enduring place of conservation, education and community. Just as importantly, he knew how to build and sustain a team: bringing together volunteers with the many different skills needed to turn a shared idea into a thriving hub of activity. Without Tom’s vision, determination and leadership, we simply would not have what we value and enjoy today. May he Rest in peace
