My deepest condolences to the family. May his soul rest in peace.
Pardon me for only adding my word of condolence belatedly. I got to know Tom from attending music events at Galway Cathedral and elsewhere around the city. He was a generous, good-humoured and friendly gentleman, quietly supportive of the arts. A man with a wide pallet of interests - sports, music, politics, faith, 'old Galway'. A pleasure to have known him since I moved to Galway from Cork as a callow youth in 2005.
Leaba i measc na naomh go raibh aige anois. Gearóid Barry, Ollscoil na Gaillimhe & Cnoc na Cathrach.
To Mary and family and especially Des my deepest sympathy and condolences on the sad passing of Tom.
Sincerest condolences to Mrs Grealy, Michael, Clodagh, Tommy, David and Eimear. As a friend of Eimear's from college days, I still have lovely memories of meeting Mr Grealy at Eimear's 21st and the warm welcome we received in the Grealy house. Mr Grealy's love of sport has clearly been passed onto his children and will live on strong. May he rest in peace.

I worked for and with Tom in the Galleon and Galway Metal for many happy years and he was definitely one of the most special people to work with. Always considerate, a great family friend and he will be missed. We are so sorry we weren't able to attend the funeral.

Our condolences to Mary and the Grealy family on Tom's recent passing. Warm memories of when we were neighbours in Newcastle many years ago.
May Tom rest in peace.
I have so many fond memories of Tom hanging out in Threadneedle Rd as a teenager - Tom was always so generous with his time, match tickets and sharing his outlook on life; most importantly I loved his strong and dry sense of wit - surely one of the best in Galway!

Eimear, Clodagh, Dave, Tommy, Mike & Mary - we are so sorry for your loss. Emma and I couldn’t be there to celebrate Tom’s life as we were dealing with our own loss of his old friend Ray. But we’d like to think they are having a pint somewhere right now discussing the strengths of the Irish rugby team!

Lots of Love,

Peter & Emma
DeeDee and I were extremely sad to learn of Tommy’s passing, unfortunately too late to attend the Mass on Saturday. Tommy was a true friend whom I first met in 1956, when Corinthian's rugby players practiced in the Grammar School on a Thursday afternoon, being a half day in Galway at that time. He was a true gentleman with so many excellent qualities ; too many to list here but ones that we all should aspire to. He was a true legend.
Sincere condolences to Mary and all the family, remembering all the happy times we spent in each other’s company. MAY HE REST IN PEACE 🙏🏽
Sincere condolences to Mary and all the Greally Family on the sad passing of Tommy.

Solas na bhFlathas dá anam uasal.
A Eimear, a chara,
Comhbhrón ó chroí leat, le do Mham, do dheartháireacha agus do dheifiúracha ar bhás Tom. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
Tom was a kind gentle man.

His courtesy to my dad will never be forgotten. Tom was always welcome in our home when he visited. He was particularly kind to my father,Harry Warner and on numerous occasions brought dad to events at Corinthians rugby and always honoured the fact that dad was a founder of the club.

Tom was one of those few people that was easy to like.

He always seemed to be in a good humour. A lovely man

Galway will miss him.
Sincere sympathy to all the Grealy family on the death your beloved Tom. He was a true gentleman and a very professional accountant to work with. May he Rest In Peace.

I hope you’re able to take the time you need to grieve, to be with loved ones, and to reflect on the special moments you shared.

Mary, Clodagh, Eimear, Mike, Tommy, David and the extended Gealy family

Sincerest condolences on Tom’s passing – he was a wonderful man who touched many people in many ways with his passion for sport, music, singing and in his work. He was a mentor and good friend to Ray Dooley and, ironically, the two of them shared their last night in repose. I’m sure the conversation was peppered with chat and wit – as was their usual form.

My experience with him was enhanced by the friendship our daughters Eimear and Emma shared, and he showed great interest in all aspects of their lives.

His regular letters to The Times will be missed, and his status as a legend was confirmed with his attendance at Kasabian with none other than Jennifer Zamparelli at the tender age of 80.

His kindness and interest in others were evident in his eagerness to meet Gordon when we got married. It was lovely to meet him with you at McSwiggan’s, and he got on so well with Gordon through their shared love of sport. Our last meeting with him was in August 2022, when we attended Brian Friel at the Town Hall—a treasured memory for Gordon and me.

Unfortunately, we are unable to attend his funeral due to the unimaginable clash with Ray’s funeral, but please accept our sincere apologies on his passing – he was a man of great depth and inspiration, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. With deepest sympathy for your loss.
