Sincerest condolences to the family of Tom. I had the great pleasure of meeting Tom in the neighbourhood when my family and I first moved in last year but we didn’t get to catch up properly after. May his soul rests in eternal peace.

I was so sorry to hear Tom had passed away. My deepest sympathy to all of the Lysaght family. He was a lovely warm man who always had a smile on his face and I am sure you will all miss him a lot. He spoke about how proud he was of his children any time I met him.

Tom’s resilience in his latter years showed through ever time one met him with his warm smile, a glint in his eye, maybe even a joust using his walking stick.Patsy shared the pleasure of his company as a fun and relaxed Bridge partner before he became one of my pals in the Good Companions. He was always great fun, easy company and really interested in all the extended family. We all moved into Sweetmount Heights together in the 60s. From the start Tom and Phyllis were at the heart of this community and their hospitality was legendary. Tom always gave great advice and a helping hand that brought us all through good and tough times. They were fantastic neighbours. Codladh Samh Old Friend!

Tom was a long time friend and Helen and I spent many wonderful golf trips all round the world with himself and Phyllis and the Bradley’s.
Tom and I enjoyed a little bet on both horses and dogs, I can’t say we won but we enjoyed the fun.
Tom may you rest in peace, you will be sadly missed by the Good Companions and all your friends in the Castle.
