Rita, Susan and the McNally family, our sincerast sympathy on the death of Tom. A very kind and friendly man. May he rest in peace.

I was very saddened to hear of the death of Tom who was a dear friend of mine from our youth. We soldiered together through secondary school and then stayed in digs together as college students. Tom was a true gentleman always and a good friend. He had a great passion for sport and played football and rugby however his great love was rowing at which he excelled. When I heard that Tom was dying so many memories of my youth came flooding back. The many evenings in Tom’s home in Palace street where I got to know his Mam and Dad and his auntie Mary and all the family and where I was always made feel completely at home. I want to offer my sincerest sympathy to his wife Rita and daughter Susan, to his brothers Peter and Aidan ,his sisters Anne , Catherine, Yvonne, Zeta and Maeve. May you now rest in peace after a life well lived and a journey well travelled..Joe and Mary Sweeney .

My condolences to the McNally family on the death of Tom. A gentleman of the highest order. We soldiered many a time in the 2nd Row for the Eastern Command Rugby team where Tom’s big strong oarsman’s arms and hands poached loads of opposition ball in rucks and mauls. Rest in peace, Tom.

When you go through life you meet a lot of people . Some you forget and others you rember for ever. Tom McNally is one of those. I served eith Tom in the Western Sahara in 95/96.
