Thomas (Tom) MURRAY

I only found out about Tommy's death today 18th Feb, almost 2 months later. I am a former neighbour. I was absolutely shocked and saddened. I have a candle lit tonight in my home and will light one in church tomorrow. Tommy was himself. A one of a kind. The true article. Salt of the earth. Solid. And very kind hearted and generous. For me , now that I have moved away, it feels like his passing is an end of an era. I see him still on Rialto street on the way back from Centra, stopping to talk to someone and in mid conversation he sees me driving by and raises his arm to wave . And so in a similar way I raise my glass to you tonight Tommy on the Atlantic coast where I learnt of your death and I salute your heavely journey over the waves, beyond the horizon. Sláinte Tommy. Agus Slán Abhaile. Safe Home. You will be missed.
