Thomas (Tom) O'Sullivan

Very saddened to hear of Tommy’s passing. Tommy was indeed one of the great characters of Oliver Plunkett hill. Childhood memories of Tommy on his rounds as a young boy collecting skins for his family’s backyard pig. I will always remember on one occasion hearing a racket in our kitchen at Church Place, on investigating the fuss, I found Tommy and my brother Paud fighting it out on the floor, skins everywhere and my poor mother trying to separate them with the brush.
Always great to meet Tommy in the Long Bar and no doubt have an unconventional
chat on matters of diverse intellectual interest……Thank you Tommy for being you...... Adios Tommy…..Slán Abhaile. Brian

I first met Tommy when we studied German together in UCC in the '80's and we caught up sgain when I moved to Fermoy years later.
Tommy was unique....his knowledge of poetry and literature was incredible, his mind as sharp as a razor. He was always entertaining and cheerful and never lost his sense of adventure and thirst for knowledge.
May you rest in peace Tommy.

We were really saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Tommy. Tommy was a lovely man who was so knowledgeable and we always had great conversations with him whether it was at the pitch and putt where we enjoyed a round or two with him or on our way to the Gaa pitch with the bike outside his house down the hill. He loved the chat and was always interested in how Craig and in later years Zach was getting on in school and life in general. He was a gentle soul and will be missed dearly. We were shocked and saddened to hear of your sudden passing as I only sat down in the pharmacy and was chatting with you till 6 pm the evening before.little did I know ithat it would be my last time saying goodbye to you as we parted company that evening.You were such an intelligent man so knowledgeable and it was many the sing song we had in the pharmacy as you entertained us.trying to give my Emma a hint that diamonds are a girls best friend.😀both Emma and myself loved the chats and the cups of tea..I hope you enjoyed our company as much as we enjoyed yours.i felt very privileged that you decided to call me in the pharmacy every day from your hospital bed keeping me posted on your welfare.it meant a lot to me...Thank you Tom for the great memories .heaven has gained you.
