I was so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He was a great gentlemen whom I've known since I was very young. Tom and my late father, Jim, worked together for many years at the Board of Works in Dun Laoghaire and were great friends. My dad was very fond of Tom, and they shared a great love of their native county, Tipperary, along with many other things. I'll never forget Tom's kindness to us after my father passed away more than thirty years ago. He gave us a lot of help and good advice at a time when we needed it. Since then, it has always been a pleasure to meet Tom and Anita. Tom will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Deepest sympathies from me and my wife, Fran, to Anita, Mary, PJ, Eddie and the rest of the family. May Tom rest in peace.
