I am.truly saddened and upset that another truly loved and great human being like Tommy has ĺeft us.i knew tommy years and he was a gentle soul with a big heart and an infectious smile. Tommy was one of lifes characters and it so sad that he has departed at a young age. Sleep well Tommy you deserve it RIP

In ’72 at the age of four, this funny little fella knocked at my door.
He was small and round, dressed in hand-me-down clothes,
one hand down his pants, the other up his nose

My name is Thomas he said and i’ve been sent here to play,
i think your dog bit our Deco, earlier on sometime today.

You’d knock at my door most every day,
with no plans at all — just wanting to play.

A bond we made neither mother could break,
Two friends for life, that no one could shake.

From Maywood Swings, to a Land of Bamboos,
The Bettyglen Cliff, to the Dollymount dunes.

We's kick a ball off McCartys wall trying
hard to stay out of trouble.
But one thing we knew
no matter what we would do,
we’’ll always be blamed as a double.

After dark in Raheny Park
you could hear the cul-de-sac say,
“Get the fluck back down your own end now”,
or else you’re gonna pay,
We didn’t give a toss
and you’d be first say,
“Go and ask me jollix,
before we legged it the other way!

Sleep well my friend my partner in crime,
we know this will hurt for a very long time

Our friendship stays strong from this day on,
i'll never forget my friend Tom.

Even when he was struggling through difficult times Tommy was always such a positive light to be around.
I admired how he dealt with adversity saying ‘don’t worry about it, sure what good’s worrying going to do?’.
This world is a little brighter for him being in it and that light lives on in his wife, family, his many friends and in each and every person that were lucky enough to have met him.
