I was very sorry to read of the passing of my great friend Tommy. I remember him as a boy in the Alley. We played in Well Lane and with the McCarthys, Plants and Gordan's, we ran up and down the Alley playing Cowboys and Indians. K

It was always a joy to meet Tommy and I will be always grateful for his friendship.

Tommy, we had some fun times at the Musical Society start up—back in the early 80’s.

I recall Tom as a tall man with fair hair as I passed by Patrician Avenue and later to meet him in his work capacity as a very active caretaker when Kildare Co Co staff occupied St Mary's. A scion of an old Naas family - Gordons of the Alley - may Tom rest in peace.

I remember Tom well as groundsman for Kildare County Council grounds at former offices , St Marys. He may have been the first person whom I met when I started all those years ago.From memory, he had 'dual duties' as he also acted as doorman/receptionist at lunchtime. He always looked great in his official uniform. I often wondered whether he ever got a break from work ! He was always so professional and helpful tomembers of the public
I also recall that he gave me some seeds for my garden and have often thought of him over the years as they grew into plants.I met him again only a few years back and he still remembered me after many many years.
Tom was one of the best and I am so saddened at his loss. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

We had very fond memories of Tommy while growing up. He was always such a good laugh and will be sorely missed. He was great man for a story and chat whenever we bumped into each other. Sending our deepest sympathies and love to the Gordon family on Tommy’s passing.
