Thomas (Tommy) Lillis

To his wife Aileen, daughter Tara, sons Keith and Andrew, brothers John and Kevin, sisters Mary, Anna, Catherine and Therese, just heard of the death of Tommy. I got to know Tommy when he came to Mayo many years ago and the neighbouring town of Ballina and Castlebar. All i needed to do was to pick up the phone and say is there any chance of staying over for the night as i have a ticket for a concert in the Travellers friend. He would "say sure no problem" I remember one night that i was walking the streets in the rain and i was so down and out and depressed and he came over to me and said, "Is everything all right" i told him my story and he said sure you can stay over as there is a spare room in my flat. You can stay anytime you want. Thats my memory of Tommy so caring and non judgemental
