We were very sorry to hear of Tommy's passing - he was highly regarded by his friend and former colleague, our aunt Frances Cahill in the design department. She was always delighted to meet him since her retirement and when she passed away in 2017 Tommy came to her funeral and was generous in his description of her talents. It was truly lovely to hear such compliments as she was modest when talking about her work. Sending sincere condolences to Tommy's family at this sad time. May he rest in peace.

I would like to offer my sincerest sympathies to the family of Tommy. We are all sad he has left us but we can all celebrate the passing of a kindly gentleman. Thursday 17.............Thursday was one of our gym days and Tommy attended up to very recently. We all admired and respected him greatly . He was an inspiration to us all as he took part in all our exercises with patience and determination and a smile and a word for us all. We miss and will continue to miss his cheery presence and good humour. Go raibh leaba i measc na naomh aige.

Awwww Carol, Emer and Michael I’m so sorry to hear this sad news . Your dad was a great neighbour in Beechwood Avenue , and was a big part in my training in Waterford Crystal Swimming Club back in the day. He was also a great friend and work colleague of my late dad . Tommy passed on what would have been my dads 86th birthday. I’m sure they are both having a good old chat up above now .
