As I have told you before, your Uncle Michael has such loving childhood memories of his visits to Listellick…such kindness Tom showed him, and any friends who may have tagged along. Loving memories, fun, and much kindness…..what a legacy.

Most of all my thanks for live streaming the mass.
It was beautiful..perfect..Everything.. the words, the hymns, the singing.
And especially getting to see you and some of the family.

I have such lovely memories of your wonderful parents .My sincere condolance to Madeline & the entire Trant family on the death of your beloved father Tom. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

I have many memories of Uncle Thomas, usually with my Auntie Myra. There are a couple that stand out. The car, when I look back at how many of us he managed to cram into the old car I am amazed. With the laws now he couldn't/wouldn't do that, but it was so exciting.

Another memory is of him being my hero when he rescued me from a crusted over mud pit near the old home. I was chasing Jackie and even though she warned me I ran straight into this mud pit and sank. We can laugh now but at the time I cried and Uncle Thomas lifted me to safety and Auntie Myra washed me down. I am sure I can here him laughing when I recount these stories.

Always a welcome and Uncle Thomas watching the road as I backed out to go home after having the tea and sandwiches.

I will carry you with me Uncle Thomas as I have my Auntie Myra in my heart.

Jackie, Madeline, Sheila, Adrian and Nigel (and extended families), it is the memories and stories that will get you through this difficult time.

My sincere condolences to Sheila, Madeline, Jaqueline, Adrian and Nigel on the passing of your beloved dad. He was a real family man and spoke about you all with such pride. Uncle Tom is now resting in the arms of his beloved Myra. I will cherish our last meeting only a few weeks ago and the stories and laughs we had. Also I will hold tight all the memories around Listellic from my childhood and visits through the years, holding tight to my heart the many souls that have passed. Thinking of you all at this sad time. Prayers said and candle lit. Go peacefully to your beloved Uncle Tom 🙏🙏 xxx

My uncle Tom will remain forever in my heart and my thoughts. As a child, I had many a happy time in Listellick, driving the tractor on Tom's lap and going to town with the milk during school holidays. I remember my dad driving Tom to meet Myra when they were courting. I can still picture Tom coming in after a hard day's work, having a wash and splashing on Old Spice aftershave while Grandad sat by the fire, pipe in hand and reaching for a tóstín from the press to the side of the hearth and Grandma dishing up Tom's dinner. Tom would always sing when there was an American Wake or a party at the house. He had a tenor voice similar to Joe Dolan or Demis Roussos. He would hit notes that, as a professional singer, I could only dream of. Beautiful, melodic, pitch perfect! I shall miss Tom enormously. Down the years, I have thought of him often and the enormous contribution he made to my childhood. I shall continue to do so. My wife, Di and I send our love and please dont be sad. Tom is happier than any of us now: he's reunited with his Myra. Thank you, Uncle Tom. Rest in peace. You deserve to!
