Such fond memories of Tom, met in the 90s, became firm friends and enjoyed many a night out together, both in London and back in Youghal. A true gent, he always had a laugh, a joke, a story (or two!) and a wink in his eye. Will be sorely missed, my condolences to his family and friends. RIP my friend.

Rest in peace Tommy.
I first met Tom when we both started working at Moss Bros back in the early 1980s, and we’ve remained friends ever since. He was at Karen’s and my wedding in Cyprus in 2009, which meant so much to us.

The last time I saw him was two years ago when I visited Youghal. Over the years, we shared many laughs—and more than a few bottles of red wine on countless evenings.

It’s hard to believe he’s gone. He was a loyal friend with a big heart and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Rest in peace, my dear friend. You will never be forgotten.
I met Tom in London when we both worked at Woolworths. He had a keen & observant wit, loved a bit of chat over red wine at the local pubs after work and on one occasion stepped in when I was having a disastrous date and saved my evening and my dignity! He had such a bon viveur attitude to life and I’m so pleased I was never expelled from his friends list on Facebook as I was able to participate / read his many & varied posts. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and my deepest condolences go to the family.
So sorry for your loss.rest in peace tommy

I was deeply saddened to hear of Tommy’s sudden passing. I had the privilege of knowing him all my life, first through the Scouts during our teenage years, and later through the Youghal Association in London. In more recent years, we reconnected on Facebook, where his sharp wit and wonderfully acerbic sense of humour never failed to brighten my day.
