My deep heart sympathies Colette and family. Such fond and inspirational memories of Tif’s treatise on the Grail, his masterclass in prostration, the song of his Chanter, and the brilliance of his smile. Thank you brother, fare well ✨
Great memories of Tif during our school years; mountaineering and generally getting in and out of trouble. So sorry to hear of his leaving us so early. He will be sorely missed.
Dear Vanya, Turlough and family. Please accept our deepest sympathies on the loss of Tif. May your memories of him fill your lives with positivity and warmth. I remember him vividly on our college trip to Russia, inspiring small rebellions, breaking social boundaries and inviting human connection and insight that would have been lost without him. Sincere condolences, Fiona, Beatrice and Olmo xxx
So sad to hear of Tif's passing. Nothing but joyous memories of times spent in Brixton, in the north, and a great road trip to Ireland in the 80s: funny, warm and generous soul, may he rest in peace.
Colette, Sacha & all of the Noyes and Eccles family.

I remember Tiff well - what a great guy! He was the Manager of the Happy Farm while I lived in the Farmhouse . Such good energy every day. Deep condolences to his family & friends from Earleen in Victoria, BC Canada
Dear Colette, my heart goes out to you and the family on the death of Tif, such a kind and loving soul. He leaves behind so many fond memories, and I will always remember his bagpipe playing! May he pass to the light with ease and grace, and may you all feel held and supported in your grief. Sending love to you all.
My heart goes out to you Colette and all the family at this sad time of Tifs passing. His life was short but well lived and in time the memory of the man he was will bring its own consolation. He will be missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
To Colette, Vanya, Turlough and all Tif's family & loved ones, so very sorry for your loss. I knew Tif many moons ago through my sister, Lynn. I can still see him in a fox-fur hat with a huge smile in the Moscow snow in the late 1980s (from a photo we had in our home). I will always cherish my memories of my brief encounters with him: his big laugh, warmth & openness.
Such a sad loss and way too young, will always remember our youth in St Mawes !you live on in our heartsxx
We are so sad to learn of Tifs untimely death. When Vanya & Turlough were young we lived just around the corner, with our young brood, I’m not sure where we met but suddenly we were all friends, kids & parents sharing the highs & lows of those years of early parenting. Later Tif worked with us in The Mango Cafe & although we hadn’t seen Tif in many years, his friendship at that time, makes him part of the tapestry of our lives - and therein lies the wonder of life. You don’t need to stay connected to continue a thread - to feel such sadness at the loss of someone so dear from your past. For all of you who loved him presently, we send love ❤️
Tif brought joy and insight to the Happy Farm in Plum Village. I remember well his voice, and the love he felt for the earth and the farm. He continues on not only in France and his work there, but also in the new Happy Farm here at Deer Park in Southern California where I live now. Please know that he has affected the lives of thousands of people for the good.
I first met Tif in Scotland in 1978 at his sister Caroline’s wedding to my younger brother Barney. I was in my mid-twenties. He was a teenage kid. I remember he played bagpipes during the festivities. We did not cross paths again for decades.
When we met again, in 2023 in Maine on an overlapping visit with our siblings, both of us had aged considerably but HE had evolved profoundly. I couldn’t immediately place why, but I felt myself in the presence of someone of great spiritual attainment.
It was not in anything particular that he said, and one could see, and sense, that he was unwell and not entirely himself at the time. But there was an unmistakable joyfulness and (for lack of a better word) an element of CLAIRVOYANCE in his manner.
In hindsight I believe he was celebrating just being alive. Later I was able to piece together his recent medical history, and I know that he knew he was on borrowed time, each new day a “bright improbable sun.”
What a beautiful lesson in gratitude for all of us. Thank you, Tif. God rest.

My sincere sympathy Colette, Aaron, Finna, Vanya, Luchia, Sacha, Turlough, Reuben and Hannah granddaughter Sienna,. on your intense and untimely loss of a beautiful soul Tif (Christopher) As life would have it I was working with Colette my esteemed colleague in Youthreach Tuamgrany. It was a blessing and a pleasure to work with Colette. This is where I first met Tif, a man, of Culture, intellectual. friendly, engaging and he had an amazing capability of making one feel comfortable and at ease in his presence. I was shocked to hear of his passing as he was doing well. Thought i would share some consoling verse. Wherever a beautiful person has been ,there is always a trail of beautiful memories, these memories are the treasures which keeps our departed loved ones alive. Dear Tif, I will miss you, and I'm sad to have never seen you again after our year shared together at Plum Village.
You were always so kind, sweet, and loving, you always filled my life with so much joy and happiness, through your smiles, joy, and humour.
So many shared moments of joy that I will cherish forever. Thank you for having been there for us.
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
...You're the one who introduced me to the Irish Blessing, the sweet memory of you is present every time I read it.
Sending love to Turlough, Vanya, and all the family I have yet to meet.

My deepest condolences to Tif’s family.
I had the pleasure of working with him many moons ago at the Emerald Cultural Institute in Dublin, and he left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Tif was a truly lovely man — warm, generous, and endlessly kind. He had that rare ability to make people feel instantly at ease, and his gentle humour and wonderful storytelling could brighten any room.
I feel fortunate to have known him, even for a short time.
May he rest in peace.

Dear Colette and family,
My heartfelt condolences at the passing of dear Tiff. I feel my life has been enriched and blessed to know him, he counts among my heart friends and companions on the path since our time together on the Happy Farm at Plum Village. I am so grateful to have reconnected recently, sharing some music and memories of joyful and precious times together. Playing bodhran as he piped for the community is a fond memory that will stay with me. Sending much love and energy of peace in this time of his transition to that which follows this brief, beautiful, joyful and at times bitter-sweet life. Yours in sorrow and solace. Br. Tenzin

Dear Collete and your 8 children,
I was so very sorry to hear about Tif’s illness at our last Fettes get together and my heart goes out to you at such a tough time. He will be a big loss to you all. I remember Tif as such a fun, kind and empathic young man, with character, and always very dapper.
I have really enjoyed reading his words and poems, he was a very profound thinker. And he must have suffered a lot.
It was a very beautiful funeral and everyone spoke so well. Thank you for letting us watch from afar.
In the days ahead I will be thinking of you all and send you my very best wishes,
Fiona xx

So sorry for you and your family's loss. May Tif Rest In Peace. May he travel with lightness, love and joy.
Dear Colette deepest condolences to you and the family at this heartbreaking time 🙏💙
Here's to thoughts of Tif in his prime: strong, charismatic, mysterious. Of long summer days spent climbing in Dalkey and Glendalough, his friend reciting Paradise Lost at the top of climbs while we laboured upwards; cooling swims afterwards in the Upper Lough; pints of Guinness in the village pub. Here's to a fine man on his journey, finding peace, reaching home. May he rest in peace.
Dearest Tif, I have just learnt that you have joined the choir of angels that surround us. No doubt, you will be adding the sound of bagpipes to the everlasting chorus. You brought joy and laughter to my world and I will always remember your smile and your grace. May you rest in peace and rise in Glory. But if the while I think on thee, dear frien, all losses are restored and sorrows end dx 🙏
