The passing of Tim O Shea truely marks the end of an era, an era which was full of positive contribution, to the Pipe Band and to the Community at large. A highly intelligent man whose counsel was much sought after and highly respected. My earliest memory of him was he taking part in the SCÓR quiz competition on behalf of Aubane, with his neighbour Teddy Daly and Margaret Dineen Laharn, one of many quizzes that Tim was part of. His contribution to the Community and the Band has been well documented over the days since his passing which must be some consolation to Peggy and his immediate and extended family who journeyed with him through his health trials of recent times. Tim O Shea was a classic example of every thing a gentleman should be and will be long and fondly remembered. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé.

So sorry Peggy to hear of Tim’s passing,
My deepest condolences to you, Peggy and also Cathríona, Colm, Caoimhe, Aisling and JJ.
My earliest memory of Tim was when I was a small child and Tim and all the members of Millstreet Pipers Band would assemble outside our shop and then march in step to the Feis field on the Sunday of Kilcorney Feis. On arrival at the field, they formed a wide circle, the assembled visitors would fall silent, all events would pause and the band entertained us all with their wonderful tunes.
A sight to behold. It was a huge highlight for all of us.
