Please accept my heartfelt condolences for Tim's passing. We were classmates at RCSI and although we lost touch after graduation, I always remember him as being warm, funny, caring and generous with his time. Rest in peace Tim.

Deepest condolences on your loss, of the most wonderful Tim. He was such a special, fun human. I fondly remember his incredible kindness to me, during our time in RCSI. He will be so missed.

My deepest sympathies to all of Tim’s family in Ireland & in New Zealand on his untimely passing. We were paediatric registrars together in Dublin & later would meet at endocrine conferences. Tim was always smiling & so much fun to spend time with. He was very dedicated to his job & always spoke so fondly of his family. The Irish paediatric & paediatric endocrine community will miss him greatly. May his gentle soul now rest in peace.

We know that all of you are shocked and devastated by Tim's sudden and unexpected death.

It is sad beyond words that Tim's daughter Emma has lost her Dad at so young an age, and that Marianne has lost her beloved life partner Tim.

We also remember especially, his Dad Tim, brother John and sisters Joanne & Evelyn. Words of consolation cannot change what has happened. God willing, Tim is now reunited with his Mum Breda in Heaven.

We are sorry not to have been able to get to Tim's funeral and we were deeply saddened to hear about your loss.

The last time I saw Tim was as an intern in Beaumont (2000) and although a long time has passed, it really doesn't seem that long ago since we were interns together.

As others have said, we always remember Tim with a smile and as a colleague, he was always willing to help.

Knowing him then, I know he must have been a fabulous paediatrician, an amazing son/brother, a terrific father and a special partner.

Dr Savage, was one of a kind. He had a quick wit, was a brilliant storyteller, and had an irreverent sense of humour. Beyond his warmth and charm, he was a deeply thorough, hard working Doctor and a truly reliable colleague. His dedication changed the course of so many children’s lives in Wellington, and his impact on their families will never be forgotten.

He will be deeply missed. We are sending our thoughts and condolences to all those who loved him.
