I just very recently learned of Tim's passing, He was a real gentleman and a pleasure to be around. I knew him as a very enthusiastic member of the Spanish classes as well, where he is sadly missed.

I was just informed of the passing away of Tim Tynan. He is and will be missed in the Spanish class for his friendship, his immense knowledge and his gentle demeanour. Rest in peace caballero. Te echaremos de menos. Un abrazo.

Sincere sympathies to Ted’s family on your great loss. Ted and I became good friends when we first met in Knockbeg College in 1954. Our last meeting was 65 years later at a reunion dinner in Carlow. Our comings together didn’t happen very often, but it was always a great pleasure to rekindle our friendship. I will miss a good classmate.
