Goodby Dad, raising a family in the 1960/70's was not easy, you and Mum worked so hard just to stand still. Money was always tight and the pressures were hard but you made it in the end and got your own house in Tipperary. You were always so good at D.I.Y you even built your own extension and rewired the whole house.

I remember you were always so good with little kids and made them laugh. Everyone that knew you liked and spoke well of you. Most of all your love and care for Mum as hers for you was really special of which I am very proud of.

The last words I remember you saying to me on the phone was that you loved me very much
and I told you the same back, I thank God for giving us the grace to say these last words to one another. Thank you Dad and I will always love you Stevie.

It’s so hard to believe you are not here with us dad, but you are in all our hearts My daughters Caroline, Emily-Jane and son Nicholas have so many happy and wonderful memories of you, all the jokes and stories you told them. You have a scar on top of one of your arms from a vaccine you had, I remember asking you when l was little how did you get it, you said you were shot in the war, with a grin on your face, I remember telling my teacher, she smiled and listened kindly, didn’t burst my bubble, as she new you were to young to of fought in the war. I loved all your stories. l have so many happy fond memories of you dad. Thank you for being a kind loving father with an amazing sense of humour. I love you so much dad l wish l could hug you one more time, and tell you face to face l love you. There is a lovely poem which talks about when someone passes don’t think of the loved one as gone but think of them as being in another room.. God bless dad you are with angels now. Love so much your loving daughter Jacqui.
So sad that you have passed Tim. l got on well with you from the first time Jacqui took me home to meet you and Alice, when we were first seeing each other and you gave such a warm welcome into your family and l shall always remember you for your broad smile and sense of humour also for buying me my first pint of Guinness when l we came to Ireland to visit you and Alice. I always thought more of you than just my Father in Law. May you rest in peace Tim.
My dearest Grandad, my fondest memory of you is sitting on your knee when I was a tiny girl asking you about the dent on your chin, you went on to tell an amazing story about you was fighting against the Indians and they got your chin with their tomahawk. For many years I believed that story. Forever the joker. RIP Grandad, sleep tight. Love all of us xxx

I would like to thank everyone for all their kind words, and sharing their lovely memories of my dad Tim.
My Dad was one of a kind and a truly inspirational role model.
Although I won’t to able to see him again, or hear his voice he will never be far away from me because he is in my heart forever.
We had many things in common, a love of boxing, telling a good yarn, and our boxing idol was Mohammed Ali. When Mohammed Ali passed a reporter said that God has come for his Champion, and now God has taken my champion.
I love you always dad and will miss you Robbie x
