Dear Agnes & family,
Our deepest sympathy on the death of Tim. May he rest in peace.
Agnes, my sincere condolences to you and your family on the recent sad passing of Tim. A real gentleman.

Dick Skelton
My deepest sympathy to Agnes and all Tim's family on your great loss.
Scoileanna Aonghusa was very fortunate to have Tim as Chairperson of the Boards of Management for several yeas. A kind and gracious gentleman, he was tremendously supportive towards the school community . As Principal, I found his help and support invaluable. His heart was always in the right place. I will always remember his kindness. I will remember too his lovely sense of humour . Tim will be missed by all who knew him.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
So sorry to hear of the passing of Tim, only heard in the last few days. You are in our thoughts and prayers...
Dear Agnes and family,
Just heard about Tim. I knew, and met him often in the early days of VG and Super Valu. His gentle, wise and resolute counsel guided us through stormy waters as he helped to lay the solid foundations of today’s group retailing.
I pray your happy memories will be a consolation to you at this sad time
Gérard Mc Inerney. SV Loughrea

It’s hard enough to lose your dad at any time but at this particular time it must be doubly hard to be unable to give him the send off he deserves and to have the support of family and friends in person. Sincere sympathy to Agnes, Gerard, Michael, David & family.
Tim loved his family, his neighbours in Bancroft, his friends & colleagues in the many groups that he was associated with. He was also part of the Dominican family in St Mary’s, St Dominic’s & St Aengus’s parish. He served two terms as chairman of our two schools- Sc Aonghusa Senior & Sc Aonghusa Jnr from 2004-2012. As with everything that Tim took on his dedication was outstanding & his contribution to the education of four hundred young primary students over eight years was immense. Solas na bhflaitheas & leaba i measc na naomh aige.

He was a very special man and will be deeply missed. We look forward to getting back to Ireland and celebrating his life with you - there is a lot to celebrate so me may be there for a while!!

Dear Agnes and family, I was so sorry to hear of Tim's passing. The Nolan family have been great neighbours to the Emoe's and Tim always had a friendly smile and a wave for us girls. I remember Dad having long conversations outside in the summer time with Tim, I had a sense that they both enjoyed those conversations in the sunshine. I was aware that Tim was successful and well respected in his role in Retail. Today I asked someone I know from the sector if he knew of Tim. He said "everybody knew Tim Nolan, he was a legend!" My friend told me that Tim was a founding member of the Irish Grocers Benevolent Fund (IGBF) a very successful charity that supported retailers that fell on hard times for various reasons. He mentioned the annual Christmas fundraiser which Tim hosted for 1,500 people. I was so impressed to learn this. You must be so proud. I am sorry that we can't be with you in person at this sad time. With my deepest sympathy,

We will keep you in our prayers. Bancroft will not be the same without Tim. I will miss meeting him after 10 Mass in the Priory,

To Agnes, Gerard, Michael, David, Robert and families. We were so upset to hear about the passing of Tim. He was such a lovely man and a complete gentleman. He was so kind to my Dad in recent years, giving him many lifts home from mass. I enjoyed his banter at the 10am mass - he always insisted Dad went to communion before him - 'Age before beauty' he'd say. We'll miss him so much. Thinking of you all at this awful time. Mairead, Peter and family.
