Sending sincere condolences to Rob, Mary, Nicky and all the Desmond family at this sad time. RIP

I have many fond memories of working with Ted on projects over the years. He was a skilled engineer with great experience in design and construction.

He was always calm and considered with a quick wit and sense of humour. He was a great friend and professional guide to me and many other architects.

To all Teds family please accept my deepest sympathy and condolences on the passing of a special man. I will never forget him.

May he rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear about Ted's passing. I can only imagine how difficult this time must be for all the family. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with the Desmond Family.

We have fond memories of our time with Ted, when he spent a few days with us in Dubai en route to Australia, which he seemed to love, particularly playing cards with our kids Ben and Charlotte.

Your father’s kindness and presence will be missed, he has now returned to his loving wife.

We are sorry to miss the funeral, we will light a candle and say a prayer for Ted from Abu Dhabi.

His passing marks the end of an era as he follows his elder brothers Humphrey and our Dad Thomas.
He lived a full and fulfilled life.
A wonderful engineer, world traveller, family man and raconteur.
