Ted Finn and my father Michael Grenham were part of an unofficial Munster Rugby appreciation society hosted by Johnny Love and Muriel Behan-Love on Nugent Road where they would gather and watch matches. Their company was often raucous and mischievous and fun to observe. I became friends with Doreen Finn not realising, to our joy and amusement, that our dads knew each other. I'd like to think that they're giddily armchair commentating in the next place.

Sincere sympathies to Yvonne and family on the passing of Ted. I remember my father Con telling me that he was a flier on the wing for Cork Constitution back in the day.When i was involved training with Ireland,he would often come over on Sunday mornings to Lansdowne Rd and say hello.
I also remember him calling to Finns Corner evertime he was down in
Cork.He was a gent.

So many fond memories of Ted in the History and Politics classes in Dundrum Adult Education. He always had something wise to contribute, Affable and agreeable, he was one of those who gelled the group pleasantly together.

Ted was a person of great human qualities and a gentleman. We had great tim in Cork Constitution in the 60s and again when we renewed our friendship to revitalise Pres Past Pupils Dublin branch.
Ted will be missed by many many people - a person with a great smile.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Though I never had the chance to meet Ted, I feel like I (and our whole friend group in Los Angeles) got to know both him and Yvonne through all the lovely stories that Alan and Sarinya shared with us over the years. I also know how meaningful it has been for both of them to spend this time back in Ireland with him, and I hope those memories can bring some small comfort in the days ahead.

So sorry to hear the passing of lovely Ted he was always singing and a good singer he was with his lovely cap on at dinner. Thoughts and prayers are with his family at this sad time.
