Timothy (Tim) Ryan

My sincere condolence to Tim’s family especially to Tony and Emily. Tim was a colleague of mine. He was a very good surgeon but also a caring doctor who always had, or made time to listen to his patients. Their medical and surgical journeys were his and he was always beside them. God rest him and keep him close.

He made a significant impact in Letterkenny University Hospital through his work with the BowelScreen screening service from the beginning and up to 2011. The world is a lesser place today following the sad passing of Tim. We were 1974 graduates and celebrated our 50 year reunion in September. It was so brave and typical of Tim to attend, play golf & enjoy the joie de vivre knowing that he had a terminal prognosis. We will miss you Tim . RIP

I learned a huge amount from this gentleman that has stayed with me right the way through my time in surgery. We last met in Faithlegg last year, along with Justin. All golf!
