It was with a heavy heart I heard the news that Tom had died. Sincere condolences to his beloved Rosa, his partner in love and in life. To his precious children and grandchildren and to all who loved Tom. Tom was a man of many skills and talents too numerous to mention foremost among them his talent for friendship and neighbourliness. And what a neighbour he was, always ready to lend a helping hand. Tom was much loved by my Mom and Dad with whom he had a long and enduring friendship as well as with my dear departed brother, Conor. People walk in and out of our lives but friends leave footprints in our hearts. Tom, you have left your footprints in many a heart. Sleep well. The illness that blighted so much of your life is no more. Your legacy of goodness and compassion is assured. Farewell.
