Deepest sympathies to Alan, Tom, Grace and the Brett family. I heard the sad news of Tom’s passing only yesterday (29th). I have recent experience of how difficult a time this is. My heart goes out to you all and I regret that this message must substitute for the support I truly wish I could have given in person. I remember Tom from many years ago and how both he and Grace were kind to me on the occasions I visited your house on the Waterford Road. Please accept my heartfelt condolences and may he Rest in Peace.

Always enjoyed meeting Tom and he was very good to me over the years. A brilliant photographer, of course, and I'm convinced his photo on the cover of the Godfather of Modern Hurling (Fr Tommy Maher with a young Brian Cody et al) added considerably to sales of the book. I'll miss him. Ar dheis Dè.
