It was deep sadness I learned of the passing of dear Tom R.I.P, who was one of natures gents, known to our family as Tommy. He took over his late uncles milk delivery round Mr. Buckley of Gerald Griffin Street, who's mode of transport at the time was horse and trap as I spent my school holidays helping Mr. Buckley.
I was given my second summer holiday job by Tommy, however the mode of transport was the blue Ford Escort van. Tom was a most trust worthy, honorable, kind, engaging gent and friend of our family.
My deepest sympathy to all the Buckley family, be assured he was a man of good faith who will never be forgotten. May he now rest safely in the care of the Lord.

My deepest condolences to the Buckley family on the passing of Tom. Tom was a special character in our village and will be sorely missed by our community. I fondly remember him from having a chat at the back of the church at Sunday mass or at a Whitechurch GAA match or in particular on a Sunday morning in Roches shop where he would come in for the groceries and paper. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time.

Great to have had him involved in everything that happened over the past few years and to have him living in the heart of the community up to the end.
How fitting that he lived to see Whitechurch finally lift the Junior Championship just a few weeks ago and to have had a grandnephew Buckley on the team. What a supporter! With the Christmas draw just around the corner, he will be hugely missed.
I’m sorry to have missed the funeral but he has been in my thoughts and prayers over the past few days. May he rest in peace forever.
