I often chatted to Tom when I visited my mam at the retirement village, he was a lovely man and I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Tom's death. He was an unique man. Our visits to the nursing home won't be the same without a quick chat with Tom on the way in and out.

So sorry to hear that Tom has died. What a character, guarding the nursing home doors every day from morning until night, eating al-fresco, with his bottle of coke, his chocolate, with the heating on full blast and of course working his way through his cigarettes. He was well loved and he knew it, - he always had a word for everyone that passed by. He will be missed.

Rest in peace Tom. You slipped away very quietly. I will miss meeting you in Portumna NH and having a chat. Fond memories.

It was with great sadness that we learnt of Thomas’s passing. He was an interesting character with an astute sense of the world around him. How I would long to read notebook after notebook of observations.
