Suzanne, Regina, Thérèse & Aoife, I'm very sorry for the loss of your lovely Dad, Tom. I will remember him as being fun, friendly and welcoming when we were children growing up in Leixlip Gate and visiting your house to play. In recent years I also loved stopping for a chat with Tom when we would meet as neighbours in Westfield. He always had kind words for my daughters. We will miss him. RIP x

A sad time for all the Downey girls and their families, Dad Tom was a gem of a dad and a wonderful husband to Ann. He had a lovely way of going about himself and never came up short when needed by his family. I had the pleasure of bumping into him in the salmon leap bar on many occasion over the years and enjoying a grand chat on all things football and a bottle of stout, rest easy Tom, reunited with Ann.
