Very sad day to say goodbye to my beloved Uncle Tommy Furlong. Honoured indeed to be able to attend the funeral to support the rest of the family and pay final respects. I enjoyed hearing all the stories you had to tell about your days at sea in the merchant navy and about the stories of my father Jimmy Furlong when you were all growing up in Wexford. I will continue to visit Wexford and will always remember you Uncle Tommy when I do so. Rest in Peace Uncle Tommy. Derek Furlong and Tara Furlong

So sorry for your loss. Tom was a Gentleman and I had known him for a long time. My Aunt Margaret used to live below him and he was a great neighbour. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Goodbye Uncle Tom, until we meet again with all the rest of our family that you have now gone to join. As a young boy, I was entranced by all the places that you visited in your merchant navy days and it gave me the desire to travel as well. Your favourite place was always Wexford though and I well remember my Gran's excitement when you returned, especially that time, unexpectedly on a motorbike. I also recall your reluctance to leave and the great difficulty that she had getting you to the North station, to ensure you made it back to Liverpool in time for your next sailing.
You will be fondly remembered by me and many others.
Deepest sympathy to P.J. and Angeline and the rest of Tom's family on his sad passing RIP. Our prayers are with you.
Mam and I are so sorry for your loss Our thoughts and prayers are with you all
We are deeply saddened to hear of Tom‘s passing and will miss him greatly.
