I am so sorry to hear that tom has Passed away, god love him he was a childhood friend to me in Thomond gate for years. Pleas accept my sorrow on a gentleman's death my prayers are with you tonight Tom.

Our sincerest condolences to all of the Kirby family, Tom’s children, grandchildren and especially Rita. Tom was an amazing man, incredibly kind, sharp, generous and humble, a force of nature. He left a huge, positive mark on the world through his work, and especially his family. We hope you can find solace in the memories and love he created with and for you. Sincere sympathy to the Kirby family on your great loss. I remember going out to play a few holes late on a summers Sunday evening. I would often meet Tom on the putting green. He would ask whether I had been watching the match and when I told him I was, he would follow up with saying Don't tell me the score! as he was taping it at home looking forward to watching it later. He used to sponsor the Seniors competition when I was playing myself. A gentleman. May he Rest in Peace.

Only met Tom on three occasions, twice on his visits with you Rita to Loughfouder when as children he chased us through the fields. His energy knew no bounds in those days and watching his funeral mass this morning he enjoyed this energy all his life. Third time i met & chatted Tom was at Theresa's funeral mass.
I have no doubt but that he has a special place in Heaven where he can still be an inspiration to you all.
Was sorry i couldn't get to Limerick this morning.
