Tom LAPPIN

My heartfelt sympathy to the Lappin Family on hearing of the sudden death of poor Tom, RIP. I was in the same class as Tom in Gormanston and had lost contact with him until recent years. Tom was kind and thoughtful especially when it came to GAA tickets, for which I will always be grateful. Our get togethers with our fellow past pupils were always memorable. I only heard of his passing today. What a great loss to his family. I got a terrible shock. May he rest in peace.

I hadn’t seen Tom since 1969 on my first trip to Ireland, but had hosted Imelda at our home with Aunt Biddy many, many years ago.

Shocked and saddened to hear of Tom’s death. A very kind and considerate person who did me a big favour in sorting out my heating problem over the last couple of months…all done without the least bit of fuss and with a good bit of banter.

It was with great sadness and shock that we learned of Tom’s passing. I have known Tom for nearly 40 years as a friend and colleague.
He was a true gentleman, kind and thoughtful and the sight of his van coming up the driveway and the ensuing chats at the kitchen table about work, GAA, rugby, golf and our families will be sorely missed as will his great sense of humour.

So sorry to hear the very sad news of Tom's passing , i played hurling with him years ago with St.patricks and as yoing man coming into play adult hurling he was a great man to look up too , And an absolute gemtleman.
